Manco arrives in El Paso.  He is now on the trail of Indio whose reward value has risen to $10,000.

He discovers that a stranger to town, Col. Mortimer, is staying at the hotel opposite.

Indio and his gang are checking out the bank.

Mortimer can see that Manco, in the other hotel, also has his eyes on Indio.

After a bout of posturing, the two bounty hunters agree on a partnership to capture Indio and the gang.  Manco is to join the gang and work from the inside.  

To get accepted, he is to break Indio's old friend, Sancho Perez, out of jail.

LOCATION

SCENE
At Alamogordo jail, Manco blows the bars from Sancho's cell window.

SCENE
He takes him to Indio's lair where he learns that the El Paso bank job is fixed for the next day.
