SCENE
A lone man with horse (the man with no name - otherwise known as Joe) pauses to drink at the well of a farmhouse.  In the space between the farm buildings, he sees a small boy (Jesus), and then his father, being abused by a fat Mexican.

SCENE
The Mexican looks back towards the well and stops what he is doing when he notices that he is being watched.

SCENE
A woman (Marisol) appears at a window of the farmhouse.  Joe smiles.  The window is slammed shut.

LOCATION
Los Albaricoques

SCENE
Joe proceeds towards the local town, San Miguel.  He passes a dangling noose and enters a street where dark figures scuttle into doorways.

As he moves up the street, a lifeless Mexican approaches on horseback.

When he is past, a note pinned to his back displays the sinister message "Adios amigo".
