SCENE
The Confederate army is passing through.  "Hurrah for Dixie" is the cry from the hotel saloon.  Tuco finds Blondie in the hotel but revenge is denied as a Union shell hits the building.

SCENE
Tuco resumes the chase by following the trail of Blondie's discarded cigars.

SCENE
The third cigar he finds is still alight.

SCENE
It's not long before he catches up with him at the hanging of Shorty Larsson, Blondie's new partner.

LOCATION
Near Los Albaricoques (Cortijadas de Higo Seco)

SCENE
Blondie is disarmed behind the cactus and Shorty is dispatched.  "Sorry, Shorty."

Cabo de Gata (Dunas de las Amoladeras)

SCENE
Now it's Blondie's turn for a long desert walk.  He is at death's door when a carriage load of dying soldiers appears on the horizon.
