SCENE
Tuco takes him to his brother's monastery where he can recover. The two then depart in search of the silver, dressed as Confederate soldiers. Tuco adopts the name of Carson.

Cabo de Gata (Castillo de Rodalquilar)

SCENE
They take the soldiers' carriage across country...

LOCATION
Rambla de Lanujar

SCENE
... part of the Union army arrives over the brow of the hill and they are taken prisoners of war.

Angel Eyes, now a sergeant in the Union army, finds the two prisoners by chance in his custody and one of them is using Carson's name. He has information beaten out of Tuco by the fat Corporal Wallace - but only Tuco's half of the story. He decides to cut a deal with Blondie and the two, with Angel Eyes' cronies, go off in search of the money.

(These scenes are not filmed in Almeria.)

LOCATION
La Calahorra (Estacion)

SCENE
Tuco is transported by rail, apparently to be hung after trial in the civilian courts. He is escorted by the fat corporal.

SCENE
At an isolated spot, Tuco leaps from the train, pulling the corporal with him, and beats him to death. He lies across the tracks to wait for a passing train to sever his handcuffs.

Tuco traces Blondie again and they team up to deal with Angel Eyes' men and negotiate civil war battlefields en route to the silver. Angel Eyes is never far away and all three come together for the final graveyard tri-el which decides who is to get the money.
